After a successful week at the Arqana August sale, we are getting ready for GOFFS UK. Coulonces Sales sold the top priced filly last year for 220,000 GNS to John and Jessica Dance. The 2yo filly, Laurens (Siyouni ex Recambe), is currently trained by Karl Burke and won easily on her frist start out in a Maiden Fillies´ Stakes race (7f) at Doncaster. She impressed again last week when finishing second in the Group 3 Prix du Calvados.
This year, we are presenting four lovely yearlings – Lot 246, a bay colt by Olympic Glory out of River Test. Olympic Glory was a champion two-year-old, a top class three-year-old miler and four time Group 1-winning sprinter-miler. River Test is from a Group performing family and a half sister to no less than 7 Stakes horses.
Lot 402 is a colt by Showcasing out of Be Released. Showcasing was a terrific juvenile, recording an outstanding victory in the Group 2 Gimcrack S. at York, where he broke the juvenile course record. Showcasing was joint-leading first-season sire, and since then, he has repeatedly emphasized that this excellent first season was anything but a flash in the pan. Be Released is a half sister to multiple Group 1- winning Gordon Lord Byron – our yearling presented at GOFFS is her first foal.
Our last colt presented is Lot 454 by Kendargent out of Could You Be Loved. From a world class family with Pride and One Foot In Heaven, Could You Be Loved has all the makings to produce a top class racehorse. Kendargent is currently one of France’s leading two-year-old sires, having recently produced promising Listed winner Ken Colt. Kendargent’s results as a stallion to date has been spectacular.
We have one beautiful filly going through the ring – Lot 462 by Siyouni out of Demeanour. A Group 1- winner at 2 for his breeder, the Aga Khan, Siyouni has an excellent breeding record having produced Group 1 performer Ervedya as well as Group winning Le Brivido and Spectre to name but a few. Demeanour was a Listed winner herself and has produced 2 winners from 2 previous foals.
