Amazing filly Laurens notched her fifth Group 1 of the season with another brilliant performance in the Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket today.
This is the Karl Burke filly’s fifth Group 1 victory after a strong 2018, notably winning the French Oaks and the Marton Stakes when beating Alpha Centauri and now the Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket, holding off Aidan O’Brien’s Happily.
The filly was part of Coulonces Sales’ first draft sold at GOFFS UK’s Premier Yearling Sale in 2016. She became the top priced filly at the sale, when knocked down for 220,000 GNS to John and Jessica Dance.
