Havana Grey dominated from start to finish to land the Listed Better Odds With Matchbook National Stakes under PJ McDonald. In what was a pleasing win, Havana Grey became the First Crop Stakes winner for his sire Havana Gold.
Havana Grey was consigned by Coulonces and sold for €70,000 to BBA at Arqana’s 2016 August Yearling Sale. The colt is owned by Global Racing Club and Mrs Elaine Burke. He was bred by Mickley Stud and Lady Lonsdale and is out of the six-time winning sprinter Blanc de Chine.
